Omnia Ledger

Privacy Policy

Version 2026-07-10 · Effective July 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Omnia Data Tech (“Omnia,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use Omnia Ledger at app.omnialedger.com (the “Service”). It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text). If you enable two-factor authentication, we store the enrollment needed to verify your codes.
  • Financial records you add — transactions, categories, budgets, receipts, documents, contacts, business details, and (on Practice plans) the client books you manage. This is your data; we host and process it to run the Service.
  • Bank connection data (Plaid) — if you connect a financial account, we receive information such as account balances and transactions through Plaid. We never see or store your bank username or password; those go directly to Plaid.
  • Billing information — subscriptions are processed by our payment processor. We receive your plan, billing status, and limited payment metadata (for example, card brand and last four digits); we do not store full card numbers.
  • Technical data — standard logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) generated by our hosting and backend providers, used for security and reliability. We use browser storage (localStorage) for your session and interface preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, secure, and improve the Service — including syncing connected accounts, generating reports and insights, and backing up your data.
  • To send transactional email — sign-in and account emails (confirmation, password reset), invitations you initiate, and important service notices.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To meet legal obligations and prevent abuse or fraud.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial records for advertising.

3. Bank connections and Plaid

Account connections are powered by Plaid Inc. When you link an account, you provide your credentials directly to Plaid, which retrieves your financial data and shares it with Omnia to power the Service. Data transferred to Plaid is handled according to the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. You may disconnect a linked account at any time in the app, and you can also manage connections through Plaid Portal.

4. Who we share information with

We share data only with the service providers that run Omnia Ledger (our “subprocessors”), each bound by its own security and privacy commitments:

ProviderPurpose
SupabaseDatabase, authentication, and file storage (hosted in the United States)
CloudflareWeb hosting, content delivery, and network security
PlaidBank and financial account connections
StripePayment processing
ResendTransactional email delivery

Beyond these providers, we disclose information only: with your direction (for example, when you invite someone to share access to your books); to comply with law or valid legal process; or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Omnia, our users, or the public. If Omnia is involved in a merger or acquisition, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

5. Shared access and client books

If you invite someone to your books (or accept an invitation to someone else’s), the access you grant is visible and controllable in the app — invitees see only what their role permits, and owners can revoke access at any time. If you manage client books on a Practice plan, you are responsible for having your clients’ authority to do so; we process those records as part of your account, on your instructions.

6. Security

  • Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • Access to data is enforced at the database layer with row-level security — every request is checked against the signed-in user’s permissions.
  • Optional two-factor authentication protects your sign-in.
  • Passwords are hashed; bank credentials are never sent to or stored by Omnia.

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. To delete your account, contact support@omniadatatech.com — we will delete your account and associated data within 30 days, except for limited records we must keep for legal, billing, or security purposes. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on the backup rotation schedule.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app (your records are viewable and exportable); for anything else — including deletion or a full export — email support@omniadatatech.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. Children

The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Each version is dated and numbered at the top of this page. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
